So I consider it is appropiate to give ideas and sugestions but not to impose our tastes or ways of thinking because if they are totally different to the ones of the bride, it could be very frustating and is not going to help on the purpose of finding the dresses.

When is the time to find The grooms suit, formal wear or tuxedo, we have to think about the style of the man as well as the style of the wedding, there has to be a link, a relation between everything, obviously when it was time to choose for the wedding style it was considered both (bride and groom style). By this time if they agreed both with the wedding style the grooms attire would not be a problem.
THE GUESTS
Obviously the guests attires is something we can not control, but as is a themed wedding perhaps some of the guests with want to "go with the flow".

WARNING: If you already decided your wedding theme is st. valentine is okay to use accents in red, as in decoration, or your dress if you are a non traditional bride,or your bouquet or the tie and boutonniere of the groom, but PLEASE dont make the whole wedding in red. Everything is good but with measurement!!
